The idea is an accommodation for two with two guest beds or the ability to sleep downstairs, if you do not want or can stay on the loft. The windows of the living room along the whole short side have sliding doors that can open up to the patio in the summer. On the patio are two sunchairs and a small dining table with two folding chairs. Great for late dinners during the warm Mediterranean nights and relaxing moments in the sun or shade. * Well-equipped modern small kitchen with refrigerator and freezer, stove, owen and dishwasher. A large kitchen island parts of the kitchen to the living room, which enhances the space and sea views. The "bar table" can be extended with a fold-up part. * Very fresh tiled bathroom with cabinet, sink, commode, toilet, shower corner and an integrated top-loading washer / dryer. The rent also includes access to a "boatpool", where we collectively owns a number of rowboats to quickly and easily take us the shortest distance from Stocksund, Svanholmsparken over to Tranholmen. The house is located on an island without a car bridge to the mainland. The island has about 200 households and a circumference of over 3 km. The island itself is a uniquely relaxing haven close to the big city bustle and variety. It offers two child-friendly public bathing areas / beaches and two playgrounds / areas as well as a joint tennis court. The island has a unique and well-renowned "at home" restaurant called David at home who quickly made a name for themselves, see davidathome dot se. The island also has a Barn offering uncommercial Pub activities, preferably on Fridays during the summer, sometimes with entertainment and / or grilling. ALL year round there are commuting boatstrips with SL to and from Ropsten. You can also change boat and go all the way downtown. The journey to Ropsten only takes about 5-10 minutes, then metro 8 minutes to Stockholm Central. For time-table see SL at se, include boats. November 1 to April 15, there is also a pedestrian bridge, which means that you can go to the car park at Långängsstrand in Stocksund alternative to public bus service, about 1 km, on the mainland. It is about 3 km to the subway at Danderyd Hospital (one of the largest hospitals in Stockholm). Both lines of communication offer full access to Stockholm's culture / shopping and tourist offerings. By boat you reach three petrol stations and a small shop within 5 minutes. On the mainland side, it is about 1-1.5 km to Stocksund Center that includes a supermarket, health center and library. Beside Danderyd Hospital is a slightly larger shopping center, Mörby Center, which you can reach without your own car. So why not take a short run or walk directly onto the island before / after dinner or just relax on the patio. Across the bay you can reach the tracks of "Lidingöloppet" of 30 km and several other running-/ hiking trails in "Lill-Jans skogen". My personal favorite is the 10-11 km long stroll around the amazing Brunnsviken with nice gardens / parks, rocks, and good food at Brunnsvikens Värdshus (Inn).
